Most of you might not be in a habit to sleep without a neck pillow. Then why to compromise with your old established habit while going for journey?
A neck pillow is used to give support to your head, and sometimes to the whole body. Your home could be a comfortable place for you but carrying a neck pillow during travels is essential as you cannot enjoy fully without taking proper rest.
Neck pillow is chosen, taking into account, your requirement of size, softness and the filling material. Generally, some people have headache problem and they prefer soft and fluffy neck pillow. Similarly, some people are habitual of using small but many neck pillows.
Different filling material is used in neck pillow to provide different comfort levels. Earlier, neck pillow was filled using foam or synthetic fills, as it is light in weight. In India, cotton has been used for neck pillow filling. Recently, plastic tubes have been started to be used as the filling material for neck pillows.
While the above mentioned neck pillow was for normal usage, they find importance in medicinal and healing treatment also. Some neck pillows are specially designed for orthopaedic patients for their head and spinal treatment. Nowadays, special care is also being given in choosing anti-allergic neck pillow cover as some people are allergic to the cover which comes in contact with the body and catches the germs or the microbes.
Though small, a neck pillow is an important part of the travel accessories, so choose carefully.
