Camera tripod is an important and serious purchase for any photographer. It is essentially used for both still and motion photography. It might be a little bulky to carry but a camera tripod keeps the camera still and this improves the overall picture quality. A tripod is also helpful in precise framing.
Tripod comes in all kinds of varieties. The range starts with a less expensive aluminum one costing less than US$100. These are used for consumer cameras that are not very heavy and bulky. The more expensive range includes tripods that are sturdier and much stronger. Cameras used for professional photography are often strong and thus, require a much stronger camera tripod to hold them.
Make sure that the camera tripod that you buy can easily bear the weight of your camera, flash and lenses. Camera tripod may have a removable head. The head basically allows aiming and focusing. A removable head gives you an option to buy a newer, better one whenever you can or want to. Don’t forget to check the stability of the camera tripod. Check it when the legs are fully stretched out and adjust the height of the tripod comfortable to you.
