Resistance: Retribution is a third person shootout game developed by Sony Bend in 2008, Q3 and published by SCEA for the PlayStation Portable.
For the very first time, we’re seeing Resistance: Retribution developed for the portable platform. Although this game has made its way from the huge T.V. screen to the smaller Portable screen, not much has been lost and the developers have done a very good job of keeping as close as possible with the original. The PlayStation Portable version of the game is well crafted and keeps up with the fast pace and momentum of that of the original.
Players can use the analog stick to navigate during the game and use the d pad to fire and strike. The player also receives guidance as there’s a targeting area in the middle of the screen that allows the player to lock the enemy with the frame of that bracket, thereby allowing to target them automatically and also blast away enemies and targets. However attacking the enemy is no easy task and they will do their level best to throw the player out of gear by dampening the air with projectiles and pouncing on the enemy. By just shooting the player is not guaranteed safety. He has to skillfully maneuver around that particular level in order to get to the next. All said and done, Resistance: Retribution is a well crafted PSP game and will certainly capture minds of many a PSP fan.
