F4J activists from UK scale Lincoln Memorial - 2007/08/17 20:49
Sadly it's the British that seem to be leading the way to fight for our U.S. constitutional rights... Lincoln Memorial Evacuated As F4J Breach US Security :
Two Fathers 4 Justice activists from the UK today scaled the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC in the United States at approximately 1.30pm local time.
The activists scaled the memorial by dressing as tourists and the scaling the memorial by hand before unveiling themselves in Captain America and Batman costumes as well as displaying a banner that read ‘For the Fathers of the Nation: Fathers 4 Justice has arrived www.F4JUSA.com’
Armed Capitol Police and the FBI quickly evacuated the memorial and arrested several ground crew and tourists as scuffles on the ground ensued.
The protest marks the start of the group's US campaign.
