Recommended Lawyer for Domestic Violence Violation - 2007/08/05 21:15
What Utah lawyers are recommended for domestic violence charges or violation or an ex parte or protective order?
(The below is NOT legal advice and should not be considered as such. The below is only an opinion. MF4J does not offer legal advice, but does provide a forum for discussion. Recommendations for fathers rights lawyers or attorneys are subjective and based on the experience of each individual.)
Protective Orders begin with an 'ex parte order' - an order issued by the court without a hearing. Many do not take an ex parte orders seriously and violate it within the 20 day period before a formal hearing for the protective order. Any violation of the ex parte or protective order can result in a serious situation for the accused. An individual found guilty a violation of a protective order or ex parte order may lose some basic liberties or privileges - even when pleading 'no contest' or 'nolo contendere'.
